QUEL KIF..New-York sanctionne l'attitude d'Obama vis-à-vis d'Israël..

New-York sanctionne l'attitude d'Obama vis-à-vis d'Israël..

New York sanctioned the attitude of Obama vis-à-vis Israel ..
by Laura Uzan

The policy of B. Obama since the beginning of its mandate vis-à-vis Israel seems to have cost him a Senate seat and calls into question the prospect of reelection.
Despite his recent attempts to prevent fierce Abbas to apply for recognition of Palestine to the UN, it has often been accused Obama of being more moderate in his support for Israel as its predecessors have been .
Following a scandal, the Democratic senator, A. Weiner has been forced to resign, leaving a vacancy that early elections were intended to fill.
Tuesday, September 13, the defeat of the Democratic candidate, David Weprin, the senatorial elections of the ninth district of New York, yet the majority Democrats in normal times, has highlighted the discontent of the American Jewish community, which represents about forty percent of the population of that district, as to the policy of democratic government led by B. Obama.

This allowed the Republican candidate Bob Turner to hold its own in the game constantly criticizing Obama's position on the issue of Israel, he secured the ways of the American Jewish electorate and won a victory that was apparently provided to Democrats.
Indeed, it seemed logical that the Democratic candidate is largely elected to succeed his predecessor also affiliated with the Democratic Party. Yet this is Bob Turner, Republican candidate, former executive in the media industry and political novice, was elected. Many voters told the newspaper 'Times' that they choose to support B. Turner was motivated by his strong opposition to the policies of Obama on the issue of Israel.

The policy of the President of the United States vis-à-vis Israel has she cost a Senate seat? Most American media have responded positively to this question and maintain that this election has turned into "a referendum on the policy of Obama."
With the upcoming U.S. presidential elections scheduled for November 6, 2012, maintaining a positive image among each group is of paramount importance and it seems that Barack Obama has already initiated actions for this purpose.
President Obama strives to improve its image among American Jewish voters. This may explain its extreme toughness will veto against the application for recognition of Palestine to the United Nations while over a hundred nations have expressed support for this project. The choice to go against a decision, a priori, approved by most of the international community to lend its support to Israel and a first for the Obama administration.

While this support is crucial to help Israel stop the initiative of Mr. Abbas, it is very likely that this support from the White House is not purely selfless.
